Luxury full-size Jeep SUV the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator dominated the premium three-row luxury SUV segment, there was the Jeep Wagoneer. Jeep has revived the nameplate for 2022, applying it to a good-looking, traditional truck-based SUV that competes with vehicles like the GMC Yukon Denali and the Lincoln Navigator. It offers plenty of space for three rows of passengers and their gear, along with robust power for towing and off-road prowess.

This luxury model comes standard with many of the driver-assistance systems you’ll find in other luxury SUVs. One highlight is the surround-view camera system that can be used to help you maneuver the Grand Wagoneer in a parking lot or a crowded city street, even when it’s packed to the roof with cargo. Another handy feature is the digital rearview mirror, which gives you a clear 180-degree view behind the Jeep, even when you’re backed up to a curb.
Jeep isn’t saying much about the mechanical details of this new Wagoneer, but we do know that it uses the latest Ram 1500 platform and can be equipped with a wide range of four-wheel drive systems. The tested Series II version is well-appointed, with Nappa leather upholstery; heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats; a 19-speaker McIntosh audio system; and an adjustable-distance air suspension.
This is the second time the Grand Wagoneer has earned the Luxury Full-Size SUV accolade from New England Motor Press Association, a sign that this vehicle appeals to buyers who want both off-road prowess and luxurious refinement. The Grand Wagoneer is also available in a longer L version, which increases third-row seating and cargo room.
